HEALTH AND DISEASE - Balance is the Key
We need to take back responsibility for our own health and state of wellbeing. For years, we
have been conditioned by the media to run to our doctor for every little ache, pain and minor
illness or even before starting a slimming diet. We have also been conditioned into thinking
that we can take a pill or two which will make us better again.
However, people are awakening to the fact that this ‘victim’ state of mind is not working for us.
Our doctors are overworked and the National Health Service’s resources are seriously overstretched.
Patients are finding that pills often bring uncomfortable and long lasting side effects. It is
now accepted that there has been a widespread overuse of antibiotics to the extent that our food
cycle is contaminated with them.
Basically, the root cause of disease is not being addressed.
What is disease actually? Dis-ease – to those in the holistic field, this word means that there is
disharmony between the different levels of our being; namely mind, body and spirit. If any one
of these levels is out of balance, there will be an imbalance with the energy of the other two
and dis-ease will result. For example, if our emotional and spiritual needs are not met, there
will be problems with the physical body.
How do we know this? Healers and clairvoyants who have the
ability to see the human energy fields have always accepted that this is so, but there have
also been serious attempts to investigate these claims by more scientifically-minded people.
In this country, as far back as the 1920’s, Walter J. Kilner , a radiographer of St. Thomas’s
Hospital, London found that he could look at patients through a coloured screen and see
different levels of the human energy field, also known as the aura. He documented many cases and
found that he could diagnose disease just by looking at the aura. When medical tests were
carried out, these confirmed his diagnoses. Kilner also found that he could see disease
forming before medical tests could recognise the condition.
Many other researchers have come to the same conclusion so what does this usefully tell us now?
I suggest that we need to become more aware of our own energy field, our bodies, our emotions,
our state of mind and our spirit. We can choose to educate ourselves with regard to our body’s
nutritional needs and its requirements for both exercise and rest. We can start to relieve the
burden on our bodies of toxins and stress. We can start to realise that living a life full of
stress and tension, taking in junk foods and caffeinated drinks to ‘keep us going’, and
ignoring our needs for being in tune with the earth and nature will eventually make us ill.
We need to learn not to dismiss the inner stirrings of our soul; when we are too
busy, we are tuned in too much to our thought processes and not to our hearts. We must become
generally more intuitive and more ‘in tune’ with our planet. We need to seek a balance within
all levels of our being and with our outside world.
We can choose to seek out more natural means of help. Herbs have been
used for hundreds of years and are generally known for their lack of side effects
particularly compared to orthodox drugs , although we must always remember that we are all
individual in the way we react to anything. Homeopathy is a form of energy medicine that
works on all levels of being and so are many forms of hands-on healing such as Reiki or Shiatsu.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a wonderful, empowering self-help tool
with knowledge and some tuition freely given away on the internet. Hypnotherapy can give
you ‘key words’ to use to help you control your own state of mind. NLP (Neuro Linguistic
Programming) can help you re- programme your habits and reactions. If you change yourself,
you can change your life.
In a nutshell:
- Alkalise your body
- Work through negative emotions and old hurts
- Bring balance back into your life – make sure you attend to the rest, exercise and nutritional needs of your physical body; find a way of nurturing your spiritual life, and look after your mental/emotional levels – do anything necessary to make yourself happier. Relax, laugh a lot and tap into your inner joy.
Tapping into Inner joy? If you don’t know how to do this, maybe one-to-on coaching would be
helpful for you. See the main page of this website.
